Cloning And Virgin Birth
In Vitro Fertilization, or the removal of a woman's egg and fertilizing the egg
with sperm and then implanting the egg into a woman for development makes it
possible for non-sexual pregnancy or virgin birth. In time, cloning may be as
common as In Vitro Fertilization. If a woman was to give birth to the clone of a
man the child would be exactly the same as the father, the son would be the
father; the same blood type; the same fingerprints; the same genetics. Now for
the first time since God's Holy Spirit caused Mary to conceive Jesus, virgin
birth is possible, and the science of cloning brings the world a step closer to
understanding. In science, we are for the first time able to grasp at a small
level the miracle God the Father did through his Holy Spirit in giving his Son
as a sacrifice for the world. The Messiah was born to a virgin as prophesied
hundreds of years before. Now a couple of thousand years later we are beginning
to understand the prophecy in the Old Testament and how God fulfilled these
prophecies as described in the New Testament.
Approximately 700 years before Jesus was born the prophet Isaiah wrote
"Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will give birth to
a son, and will call him Immanuel." Isaiah (Chapter 7:14, NIV)
Approximately 70 years after Jesus was crucified and resurrected his disciple
the apostle Matthew wrote "The virgin will be with child and give birth to a
son, and they will call him Immanuel - which means "God with us." Matthew
(Chapter 1:23, NIV).
Approximately 700 years after Isaiah predicted it, and 70 years before Matthew
confirmed it, Mary was told, "But the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid Mary,
you have found favor with God. You will be with child and give birth to a son,
and you are to give him the name Jesus. He will be great and will be declared
the son of the most High." Luke (Chapter 1:30-32, NIV)
Jesus, the Christ, is more than science could ever hope to achieve or explain.
Only through our Bible are we to begin to grasp the greatness of our Lord, and
his love for us.
"Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the
right to become children of God..." John (Chapter 1:12)
Being a Christian is choosing to be reunited with our Creator through Jesus
Christ.
To know God we must pray through Jesus Christ, our Savior and redeemer.
Meaningful prayers:
Dear Lord, I am a sinner, please forgive me, teach me, and lead in your many
ways as my Lord and Savior. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Dear Lord, I pray for your guidance, so that my path remains straight, so that
my faith remains true, and so that I serve not myself but you. In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
Our Lord's time is near and now is the time to get that Bible and read beginning
with the New Testament. Sincerely seek the truth with openness and you will grow
spiritually and gain comfort in these troubling times. God's hand is held out
for us and all we need to do is grasp it; so praise God, for our Lord's blessing
and forgiveness for transgressions is ours. Take God's hand and walk in peace,
knowing always of your place which was promised. Pray always, confessing sin to
the Lord and to strengthen your relationship with God, study the Bible,
associate with others who love God in fellowship, and trust in the Lord's
promise of salvation through forgiveness.
Bible quotes are from the New International Version translation. It is
strongly suggested that you use also the King James Version translation for
study and verse/chapter comparison for better understanding. Bible students do
well using both together.
